Regeneration is the name of the first experimentation phase for the launch of an industrial programme to regenerate used plastic by Nardi, a company specialised in outdoor furniture and researching new ways of enjoying outdoor life.
The Komodo EcoWall outdoor modular partition is a product made of regenerated plastic obtained from collecting resin furniture at the end of its life with a view to the circular economy.
Komodo EcoWall is also the basic module of a striking installation, designed by Raffaello Galiotto and intended as a regenerated element in terms of material and as regenerating for people. It takes the form of a formally twisted and dynamic architectural shell, an outdoor room, accessed from two sides, created by overlapping and rotating ten square rings. The outcome is a space permeable to light and air, a place for relaxing, where people can sit under a tree, lie down on a huge padded bed and self-generate energy using manually rotating devices to charge smartphones or other devices.
